Welcome! Departure Bay Massage Therapy is a home based registered massage therapy clinic located centrally in Nanaimo between Brooks Landing and well….Departure Bay. The clinic has a separate entrance, is separate from the rest of the dwelling, and has parking immediately in front. We are open as of April 11th and look forward to meeting you.

Below you will find Jackson & Katsuno Rose available for booking. We are the owners of the clinic and work together as practitioners.

Jackson is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and is able to direct bill most insurance companies. He can also take ICBC and Worksafe patients.

Katsuno is also a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) (please note: Katsuno’s treatments will be eligible for patients to self-submit, but all insurance providers have a different registration process, so her ability to direct bill on your behalf will depend on which insurance provider you are with. If you require direct billing, please contact us prior to your appointment to confirm).

Massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are registered health professionals who have completed extensive educational requirements, including training in both sciences and the clinical practice of massage therapy. They have also successfully passed a rigorous set of registration examinations administered by the College of Complimentary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC).

Jackson Rose

Jackson is a graduate of Langara College’s Massage Therapy program. Prior to becoming an RMT he lived and worked in Tokyo, Japan for 7 years.

He believes that every treatment should be as effective as possible and treats every patient based on their individual needs. Expect Jackson’s treatment to involve a variety of different methods and techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique (MET), and joint mobilizations, in addition to traditional Swedish massage.

Outside the clinic Jackson can often be found hitting the gym, reading, doing some DIY, or watching a good movie.

Katsuno Rose

Katsuno is a graduate of the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. Originally from Japan, she moved to Canada to pursue her career as an RMT. She values providing treatments that are both effective and relaxing, tailoring each session to the needs of her patients. Her approach includes techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage to help relieve tension and restore balance.
